Its oldest blocks, around Morton Street in Historic Downtown Richmond, host most of the season's events.

What Is the Fall Event Season in Richmond, TX?
Richmond's fall event season runs from mid-September through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Two long-running festivals anchor it: Texian Market Days at George Ranch Historical Park in late October, and the Pecan Harvest Festival in Historic Downtown Richmond in November. Around those, you'll find a Hispanic Heritage Month concert at the Fort Bend Museum, monthly First Friday markets, and the Fort Bend County Fair next door in Rosenberg. Most events are free. Most sit within a few blocks of Morton Street.
When Is the Pecan Harvest Festival in Richmond, TX?
The Pecan Harvest Festival is Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Morton Street in Historic Downtown Richmond. The Rotary Club of Richmond puts it on every year, timed to the local pecan harvest.
Last year's festival brought artisan vendors, a classic car show, a pecan bake-off, a kids' zone, a farmers market, live music, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden to downtown.
The agriculture side is the part most visitors walk right past. Fort Bend County AgriLife Extension and the Fort Bend Pecan Growers Association judge locally grown pecans and present the winners at the festival.
Is the Pecan Harvest Festival Free to Attend?
Yes. Admission to the Pecan Harvest Festival is free, so you'll only pay for food and whatever you buy from vendors. A portion of the proceeds supports the Rotary Club of Richmond's charitable programs, including college scholarships.
How Long Should You Plan to Spend at the Pecan Harvest Festival?
The festival runs six hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Give yourself two to three hours to walk the car show and grab lunch from a food truck. Historic Downtown's shops and restaurants are part of the draw, so it's easy to stretch into a full afternoon.

When Is Texian Market Days in 2026?
Texian Market Days returns to George Ranch Historical Park, 10215 FM 762, in late October. George Ranch hadn't posted its 2026 date or tickets when this went live, so check the park's Texian Market Days page before you plan around it. Unlike most of Richmond's fall calendar, it's ticketed. Is the Fort Bend Museum's September Concert Free?
Yes. The ¡Tiempo de Celebrar! Sunset Concert on Saturday, September 19, is free and open to the public. It's the Fort Bend Museum's fourth year hosting it, and it celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month in downtown Richmond.
When Is the First Friday Market in Downtown Richmond?
The Richmond Farmers & Artisan Market runs the first Friday of each month, so this fall's dates are October 2 and November 6. The August market ran from 4 to 8 p.m. at City Hall Park, 402 Morton Street. It's free to walk through, with local vendors and live music.

Is the Fort Bend County Fair in Richmond, TX?
No. The Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo is held at the county fairgrounds in neighboring Rosenberg, a short drive west of downtown Richmond. The 2026 concert lineup runs from September 19 through October 4, and admission on concert days includes seating for that night's rodeo and show.
How Does Richmond's Fall Calendar Compare to Katy's?
Katy's Rice Harvest Festival and Richmond's Pecan Harvest Festival both celebrate local farming history. They're built very differently.

No. General admission to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival is $15 per day, and kids 12 and under get in free. The 2026 festival runs October 10 and 11 in Historic Downtown Katy.
Why Does Richmond's Fall Calendar Matter If You're Thinking About Moving?
A fall calendar won't tell you what a house is worth. It will tell you how a town uses its downtown, and that's hard to read from a listing.
Richmond's events cluster on a few blocks of Morton Street and mostly cost nothing. In many newer master-planned communities, events run through the HOA and happen at the amenity center. If you're torn between an established Richmond neighborhood and a new-construction
community farther out, a festival Saturday is a cheap way to feel that difference.
It works as a scheduling tool, too. House hunting this fall? Plan a showing weekend around November 21 and you'll see downtown Richmond on one of its biggest days of the year. This is the kind of on-the-ground read I walk my clients through before they pick a neighborhood.
Is Visiting During a Festival a Good Way to See Richmond Before You Buy?
